I really like this notebook kit. There are several things that stand out about it.
1) Stylish – the mouse, keyboard and stand are all minimalistic, but look nice with black and yellow accents.
2) Quality – I buy a lot of logitech stuff, but this seems to be really good as far as the build of the keyboard and mouse.
3) USB adapter – it comes with the low profile USB adapter so you never have to take it out of your notebook. This was the main reason i bought the kit, to replace my old notebook mouse with annoying large USB plug.
4) No Wires – some people may want a kit with extra USB ports or inputs, but i did not. I’m glad because there are no extra wires to clutter up my desk.
So overall no complaints. Id heard with some of the other kits that the notebook didn’t stay on the stand to well, but this one has multiple levels of incline and rubber on the bottom to grip the edge of the notebook. Maybe a little overpriced but i still recommend it.

I use my laptop a lot. My current laptop is less than a year old, and already the labels on the following keys are worn off: sdflcnm.
The laptop is probably one of the worst ergonomic designs possible, either you have the screen too low (bad) or the keyboard too high (very bad). It’s practically asking for neck and back problems, not to mention repetitive strain injuries.
This kit allows you to work on a laptop in a much safer, more comfortable position. I think that actually improves your productivity if you use your laptop as much as I do.
My one complaint is the dimensions of the keyboard. I’d like a kit like this that could pack into roughly the same dimensions as a laptop, but for some reason Logitech thinks everyone absolutely needs a full numeric keypad on their keyboard. That’s true of accountants, although even they would probably prefer a separate keypad. The only keys the vast majority of users need on the keypad are home, end, page up, and page down. these could be accomodated on a single column of keys along the left, saving almost two inches.
What I’d like is for the keyboard to be almost the same dimensions as the stand when folded down, incorporating a palm rest (also good for preventing injury). The whole thing should come with a slipcase for travel that protects the keyboard, mouse and stand. Then this product would be a must have for both road warriors and laptop users with computer use injuries.

Tired of a dock and usb cables hijacking my deskspace, I was excited to try this wireless alternative. One of the positives is it’s unifying receiver. This baby is tiny, and it can remain connected to your laptop, which eliminates one tedious step in moving to and from work. Secondly, the mouse is attractive, VERY accurate, highly portable, and comes w/ a (loud) scroll wheel. An bigger draw is the proclaimed battery life of the peripherals, supposedly up to 15 months on the mouse and up to 3 years on the keyboard. At $41 after rebate, this is all tremendous bang for your buck.
There are some cons to bear in mind, however. The keyboad is cramped, which might make it more travel-friendly, but it’s not small enough to qualify as such. Compact computer owners wouldn’t want to lug this sucker around, and larger, newer laptops often include a number pad. So, it’s all the more baffling that Logitech failed to give this keyboard any advantage over the one already attached to your computer by omitting a wrist pad and/or full-sized keys. The mouse is also slight. I have tiny hands and am used to travel mice, but this will still require an adjustment.
I haven’t decided whether the diminished desk clutter justifies the terrible keyboard. The mouse and unifying receiver are pluses, but there are sexier options for the money. Still, if you need a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, this comes at a great price and throws in a stand to boot.

While everything is working great now, I was surprised about the Customer Service from Logitech. I spent over an hour on line with a tech who was not real sure about the new Unification mice and keyboards. It appears when you receive one of these items and it comes with the unification receiver, it is not a plug and play feature. You must download the software and it must be for the exact item you are setting up. It is one for all. Now that we discovered this it works great, but these items are not useable on the laptop and the desktop without recording them on each computer, first. So do not think they are a plug and play item.
