3D Television – The New Revolution of Modern Technology

3D TV is set to be the new revolution in home entertainment across the United States. With sales research indicating that 3D TV will be found across 9 million homes by 2015 in the US and 20 million homes worldwide, and with the introduction of 3D TV channels and 3D movies it’s probably time to consider getting a 3D TV.

It is fair to say that there will be a 3D TV take over in the next few years, and there are some amazing packages being sold and in development stages from Samsung and Sony, seeming to be advanced in this technology. So what can we expect to see included in these new and wondrous 3D packages of the future?

Sony, IMAX and Discovery have joined forces to create the first full time 3D TV channel in The United States. Not only showing nature shows but also 3D film and 3D gaming. This will be the first of many 3D channels to come, and to watch the channels effectively viewers need to watch it via a 3D TV.

Samsung launched their new 3D TV Home Cinema System last year. The system includes; the 3D Television, 3D Blue Ray, and extras including new lightweight glasses, an integral surround sound and built in wireless networking. They have also released their 3D LED TV which certainly isn’t cheap, but if you like massive televisions you’re onto a winner with this one coming in at 55 inches. They do a range of smaller cheaper 3D TVs so it’s worth shopping around, and you will find them cheaper online than in store. Do check however, what is included if you don’t go for a TV package, in most cases when you buy the 3D TV as a standalone items like the 3D glasses are not included, so they would have to be purchased separately which may send costs sky high.

Toshiba is also offering very competitive pricing on their 3D LED TV but there is no complete package. The Sony Bravia is also putting up a battle with Samsung, and their larger 3D TV’s come in marginally cheaper. My advice would be to shop around as much as you can, look for packages over standalone TVs and then sit back on your favorite chair and duck, dive and sway watching 3D movies on your new system.
